How are Mobile Phones Changing Social Media? [Infographic]

It’s happening in Africa, in Europe, and here in the United States: People are replying more on their mobile phones and other digital devices  to access the internet. Soon, more people will use their mobile phones for internet use than laptops and desktops computers.

Here are a few more stats from the infographic below:

  • Over 30% of people access social media sites from their mobile phones
  • There are more than 100 million active users currently accessing Facebook through their mobile devices.
  • People that use Facebook on their mobile devices are twice more active on Facebook than non-mobile users.
  • There are more than 200 mobile operators in 60 countries working deploy and promote Facebook mobile products.

For churches, this means having a mobile-friendly website and/or mobile church app is critical.

Take a moment and check your church website right now from your mobile phone. How does it look? Can you access all the needed information? Is it user-friendly? Would your church benefit from having it’s own app?

If the answers to these questions leaves you needed advice, I highly recommend you reach out to CTT sponsor, ROAR. From mobile sites to apps for churches and nonprofits, they can help.
