It's that time of year again.

Black Friday is upon us.

Have you noticed that stores advertise Black Friday deals much earlier and earlier than the last Friday of November? The good thing about what's happening with Black Friday is that vendors and merchants have turned it from a shopping holiday into an entire season.

I try to delay my purchase of tech gear to significant sale promotion periods like Black Friday to make the most of my budget for tech gear.

This year, there seem to be at least three winners from my tech wish list.

AirPods Pro 2nd Gen – Lowest Price Ever To Date

The Apple AirPods Pro 2nd Generation is Apple's latest wireless earphones. It's designed to deliver immersive sound with a new level of active noise cancellation that blocks background noise. It also features a transparency mode that allows you to hear the environment around you. One of the newest practical features is a volume control on the earbuds allows you to slide your finger to set the volume to your liking immediately.

So, how do they perform? First, the AirPods Pro 2nd Generation offers excellent sound quality and effective noise cancellation. I love the AirPods Pros because they are comfortable to wear for long periods due to their adjustable fit and lightweight design.

But besides the reported noise cancellation function that supposedly outshines the original version, the second real reason is . . .Battery life. It isn't just good; it got a significant upgrade, allowing up to 6 hours of listening time on a single charge. That means I should be able to go an entire extended work day without fumbling for the case or putting it down to charge between calls.

Touch Screen Overlay for TV monitor

The 10-Point Multi-Touch Infrared Touch Frame, IR Touch Panel, and Infrared Touch Screen Overlay allow you to use your TV or monitor as a virtual touchscreen. This device is great for office, home entertainment, educational, and business applications. In addition, it supports up to 10 simultaneous touchpoints, which is great for presentations or group collaboration activities.

It allows you to turn a TV into a touchscreen whiteboard. Then, you can “write” on the screen using a stylus or your fingers. I plan to use it with Miro, Notability, and other applications that have white-boarding capabilities.

You can also use it to present on camera, say during a zoom team meeting and use your fingers or stylus to annotate and mark up slides, turn pages, or a host of other things. If you can use a mouse to do something, you can now use your fingers or stylus on the TV.

The tech is easy to install – you connect it to your computer via a USB cable and download some drivers – no additional software installation is needed other than the drivers. The touch frame is also very responsive and accurate. The infrared touch technology provides an incredibly smooth and precise experience with no noticeable lag or ghosting.

SanDisk 2TB Extreme Portable SSD External Drive – 67% Off

The SanDisk 2TB Extreme Portable SSD is a great external storage device. It has a USB Type-C port and is compatible with both USB 3.2 Gen 2 and Thunderbolt 3 ports, so you can easily connect it to your laptop or desktop computer. I have a Macbook Pro, so USB-C is key.

The solid-state drive offers read speeds up to 1050MB/s, making it very fast when transferring data between devices or copying files from the Internet. It's also relatively small and lightweight, so you can easily carry it around in your pocket or bag without noticing its presence. This is great for travel.

The 2TB capacity exceeds my Dropbox account size, so it has plenty of space for me to use as a backup for all of my files. The 33,000+ ratings on this one give me confidence that it is an excellent fast, reliable, and portable product.

These three tech products are in my target bullseye for buying during this week's Black Friday sales. With suitable deals like this and fast and free shipping, it seems like a no-brainer to invest in at least these items that will add to my workflow productivity in 2023 and beyond.
