Cool Solutions Group has announced new church management software integration partners for eSpace, its HVAC management software, that just might remedy your ever increasing church energy bill.

The number one cost influencer to your utility bills can be attributed to the cost of heating and cooling your facility.  The second most factor that contributes to most inefficiencies is controls and behaviors when controlling facilities.

For most churches, 50-75% of their utility costs is attributed to HVAC,” says Tim Cool of Cool Solutions Group. “The average cost of utilities in a church is $1-1.50/SF – so if you have 150,000 SF, churches are spending $150,000 – $225,000/annually.”

To help, the company has developed COOLSPACE with options to integrate the eSPACE facility management software with a church’s HVAC system via a JACE driver and or WiFi Thermostats.

Additionally, churches do not have to abandon their ChMS calendar as this integration can either work in the background or in the forefront.

With COOLSPACE/eSPACE integration, churches can easily schedule all the events in their facilities and know that the HVAC systems will respond to each event as they occur. Not only can churches realize energy savings with improved HVAC run-times, their facilities staff will be able to devote more time to other needs.

For continued efficiency, integration with eSPACE allows church’s ChMS scheduler to still be the front end interface for general users and staff while the facility and event management teams can utilize the robust features of eSPACE as their daily management tool. Churches do not have to train the majority of staff on the new systems, and your facility team can really drill down into the more detailed information and planning tools needed to intentionally manage and maintain facilities.

Cool adds, “When HVAC is added to event scheduling, most churches are seeing a 15-25% utility cost reduction. Additionally, there is real operational savings in when your ChMS is integrated into the building automation system and WiFi thermostats because you don’t have to double enter everything.”

For example, you enter your events in your ChMS or event system, then have to print out the schedule to give to the facility team to enter all the data again on the BAS or stat programs. I know churches that spend 4-8 hours a week for someone to this double entry. Sooooo – even if there is not energy savings, the operation efficiency is incredible.”

With these savings in mind, churches who combine their HVAC management together with their church management system can actualize real cost and time savings.
