How to Build a Successful Church Website [Infographic]

-

Your church probably has a website.

You know the days of using the phone book to find a church are pretty much over.

So what are the important characteristics of a good church website?

Whether you’re a small, medium, large, or multi-site church, your website is an important tool for informing members and growing your congregation. No matter if you already have a church website, or are part of the 22% of churches who have not yet moved online, making sure your site is well-designed is paramount. Look through these tips and examples, broken up by church size, to get a great idea of what to include in your site.

We’ve written before about church website software options. We even have a whole section of our site devoted to helping churches build better websites.

Capterra is also a great resource to help you find church management software, and many of these companies have church website solutions that integrate (they also created this awesome infographic below). You can visit Capterra’s resources here: Church Management Software Directory and read the Church Software Buyers Guide.

  1. Really nice infographic.

Number one tip for building a successful church website:

    Location!

That’s something people looking for a church want to know right away but it’s often hard to find. Put it on the homepage, in the header or footer, on your services or “New Here” page, etc.
