Every year, as people set New Year’s resolutions, the YouVersion Bible App sees an increase in Bible engagement. On average, the number of daily active users in January increases by approximately 20 percent compared to the previous month. To help people keep those resolutions, YouVersion has developed different ways to make daily Bible engagement a habit.

Few quality mobile Bible study apps predate the iPhone, iPad, or any Android device. There are obvious benefits to having a church app. Ministries can benefit from improved engagement if their church app is done well. When church members are able to stay better connected, communities can thrive. The statistics tell us that people spend three times longer on apps than mobile websites. Your church can and will benefit from a church app that provides tools to increase community, give, watch sermons, and share prayer requests.

The number of apps used per day is two times higher than it was in 2015, and people now spend 85% of their digital time on smartphones using apps. With the mobile-first population on the rise, these trends are likely to continue.

The stress of dealing with life, death, sickness, tragedies, joyous celebrations, teaching, and counseling can be overwhelming for any person in ministry. Sabbath rest for pastors is important. People who work at churches are often the most chronically overworked. The people that actually need it the most work on their Sabbath.

Logos 8 launched on October 29 bringing some interesting new features to the powerful and popular Bible software program for Mac and Windows. They also updated their mobile apps for iOS and Android and launched a significant update to the Logos Web App. The threefold update unifies the Logos experience with greater similarity.
