Thinking Digitally Beyond Just The Weekend Because Online Church Is Not The Answer

-

So many churches only embrace digital when it comes to streaming their worship service and collecting tithes. I want to challenge your church to think beyond the weekend.

A Simple Exercise

One exercise is to think of the 4-6 key areas of ministry. These may be programs, purposes, or whatever. Now, let’s draw a line on a graph. The x-axis is the areas of ministry and the y-axis is how healthy digital is integrated.

Healthy digital integration doesn’t mean it replaces the in-person, but has been correctly leveraged for the objective of that program, purpose, etc.

Draw a line, without lifting your pen, and see the results. Maybe your “weekend” is super digitally figured out, but you most likely will find out that others aren’t. Focus on figuring out digital in those areas the next few months.

Implementing the Strategy

Here is a blank version of the graphic for your team to use below.

Lastly, assign a champion for each key area of ministry and encourage one way they can increase the percentage in the next 90 days.

Again, many things need to get done digitally at your church, but if you build momentum in the right direction, more wins will get done in the coming year. Take one step at a time and the fog will start to clear on what healthy digital integration looks like for your church.

Praying as you walk through this visual with your team!
