Does Texting Hurt Your Grammar? [Infographic]

Frustrated writers, English teachers, and word nerds are naturally asking the question: Does Texting Hurt Your Grammer? My immediate response was (of course) YES. Being a professional writer, blogger, and word nerd myself (with English degree in hand), I’ve even noticed that I sit down to type out an email and frequently catch myself typing “u” for you and other text-worthy abbreviations.

Should we really be up in arms? Is the English language going to crumble? (The British might argue it already has.)

For many churches, texting members has become a great way to keep people–especially young people–connect to their church, grammar aside. If you’re afraid your 9th grade English teacher will come at you with a ruler, rest assured, she’s not.
