6 Quick Marketing Tips for Churches

-

If you’re a church communication director, secretary, or pastor who needs help with utilizing digital communication tools to reach your members, today’s your day. From time to time, we feel it’s helpful to provide quick tips to help market your church both internally and externally. One of the most effective ways to do this is through email marketing tools.

Here are six quick marketing tips to get you going in the right direction:

1) Follow up with New Attendees

With video email, it’s easy to input new email addresses and send out a quick welcome and thank you message. Record the videos once, import them into your email templates, and you’re ready to go.

2) Weekly Messages from the Pastor

3) Event Invitations

Send event invitations with video to make the message personal and promise value for attending; use the email to provide all the details and a link to the registration page of your website.

4) Project Updates

Keep everyone updated on projects (whether construction, mission trips, fundraising, or anything else) by including a video of the project (i.e. iPhone video from a mission trip) in the email that goes out to the people supporting the project.

5) Info Form on Website

One way to reach out to new people, or members who are interested in a specific volunteer opportunity or campaign is to create a custom form on the church website. Set up auto-responder emails with a personal introduction from church leaders, or a quick look at the church, or an intro to the values that drive the ministry.

6) Internal Communication

Clarify internal communication and directions by creating a quick video with instructions and emailing it among elders group, church staff, or other volunteer groups.
