Smartphone Battery Saving Tips [Infographic]

-

You know the scene. You succumb to your elementary-aged child begging to play Candy Crush on your phone. Ten minutes later, your phone is down to 50% and it's only 11:00 am. You're rushing to a lunch meeting and as you hand your child back to your spouse to take an urgent call from a church member in need on the way there, you discover that your phone is suddenly down to 25% by the time you get to Panera. It's only lunchtime and you have visits and errands before making it back to your desk where you can plug in. You could join a support group for pastors with old smartphones that don't hold a charge well, or you could employ some of these helpful smartphone battery-saving tips:

1-Keep your phone cool (I store mine in a lunchbox with a chill pack when it's above 90 degrees.)

2-Reduce the screen brightness (doesn't affect that much anyways)

3-Keep the screen timeout short (it's annoying, but worth it)

4-Turn on the power saving mode (before you're down to 10% – do it when you have a full charge)

5-Turn off wireless communication (who needs the Internet, anyways?)

6-Don't use live wallpapers (I don't even know what these are.)

7-Turn off phone vibration (it's a little too kinky anyways, you're a pastor, remember?)

8-Charge it properly (umm, I'm not sure I've ever followed any of these charging rules correctly.)

May God grant you extended phone battery life and give you peace!

  1. As we are using the smartphones very much, so we should concern about the battery draining. There are some tips that you should follow to save your battery. I suggest you enable the power saving mode and charge it properly. You should not use the live wallpapers and also don’t use the vibration mode much. You can implement these steps and save your smartphone battery.

  2. I wish there would be some consistency in referring to Android versions. It does make it difficult to know whether I have a ‘modern’ version or an old one. My Galaxy 7 says it has Android 7.0. In this article versions are referred to by silly names.
