Lauren, this is great information. As a company that uses WordPress for our client’s sites, I wasn’t aware of all the stats that you provided. One of the biggest oversights that people have when building a WP site is the issue of security and support. As you showed above, WP is the largest CMS platform used, so it is the biggest target for hacking. It is important to keep WP up to date as well as all the plugins used in your website. The other issue website owners deal with when using WP is compatibility between plugins with each other and themes working with the plugins used on your site. It can be very frustrating for a website owner attempting to figure out/fix these issues. These areas are so important, that we do this for our clients.
