We know how hard that you as pastors work in ministry and so these solutions are designed to give you the best bang for your buck and yet be extremely portable and functional in most environments. While these are, in our opinion, the best options out there for the price, functionality, and usability, you may want to mix and match:

Google’s Nexus 7

Cost: $199

The Nexus 7 is a wonderful solution that rivals the iPad Mini, but has an amazing cost to go with it. The seven inch device has a Tegra 3 quad-core processor, 10 hour battery life, 1.2 Megapixel front-facing camera, and 3G connectivity. It currently runs Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) and has the amazing Google Now (think Siri, but twice as good). If you are on the fence between tablets, you should seriously consider this being your solution.

MoKo Nexus 7 Slit Fit Case

MoKo Slim-fit Case for Google Nexus 7 Android Tablet

Cost: $14.99

If you are looking for a portable case, this one is a perfect fit. While many of the cases are simply covers, this one has two unique features. First, it is its own stand so that you can prop it up and use wherever you go. Secondly, it has a mobile hand slot for you to securely hold onto the tablet while you are walking, running, or simply getting around. Even better, the price is amazing.

MiniSuit Google Nexus 7 Bluetooth Keyboard Stand Case

Cost: $22.45

Unlike the previous case, this one has its own Bluetooth keyboard to go with it so that you do not have to type on the screen all day. At the same time, the sturdy, compact, lightweight case is made with classy aluminum color finish and has a rubbery nonslick surface as well as is its own stand making it the perfect Starbucks companion as you need to type out your sermon or write a batch of emails before the evening’s meetings.

SANOXY Micro USB Host Mode OTG Cable Flash Drive SD T-Flash Card Adapter

Cost: $1.98 + $35 PNY 64GB flash drive

If you notice, nearly none of the tablets have a working USB port for better, functional storage space and therefore you are stuck with a limited free Dropbox account or to constantly sync and resync as you transfer files. This dongle will allow you to use any standard USB flash drive and so have all the files you need with you forever.

Creative T12 Wireless Bluetooth Speakers

Cost: $67.65

No desktop is complete without a set of speakers and these are not only great sounding, but cost effective. Simply connect the speakers via Bluetooth and you are ready to go.

Final Solution

If you add up all of these items, along with the tablet, you come to a cost of only $341.07. First off, that is less than half the cost of the iPad solution from last week and while it is smaller, this may be the exact pitch you need for your church. That also leaves a great budget to pay for a couple of years of 3G service so that you can email, check Facebook, and get online anywhere you want as well as many different applications from Google Play.

What do you think about this being your on-the-go option?
