I was interviewed by the Associated Baptist Press News website last week about social media and the church. One of my biggest recommendations was for churches to designate a point person to oversee and handle social media for their church–whether that person has other responsibilities or is a volunteer. So when I came across this infographic by Buzzplant, I was surprised to see that their survey shows that 74% of churches do not have a paid person on staff to manage social media; yet social media is sited as one of the most effective methods of outreach. Seems like there is a disconnect.
