10 Missionally-Focused Church Planting Networks

Church planting is an intentional process of establishing a new center for worship where a congregation can grow and thrive. Though this work is inspired and filled with hope and lots of energy, it is also an extremely challenging process. Because of this, church planting networks become an increasingly important source of support and resources for aspiring church planters. Resource support needs include technical, financial, team and leadership training, and church assessments. There is even church planting software available for pastors and church communicators.

Church planting networks provide necessary sustenance for mission-driven church planters. These organizations and affiliations often have theological leanings that are not necessarily a part of any one denomination. This is helpful because some churches may be leaving a denomination and simply wish to align with a network or they are already non-denominational and simply wish to plant through a network.

Being a part of a church planting network for support and assistance is similar to a denomination’s supporting role, but is specifically designed to avoid much of the red tape that can slow the planting process itself. Whatever the case, receiving support during the church planting process is essential.

These are 10 church planting networks packed with resources:

 

1) Soma Network

Soma is a gospel-centered, theologically formed family of churches committed to unity and diversity, and unified around their theology and ecclesiology and diverse in their missiology. The vision of the Soma Family of Churches is to see gospel saturation, so that every man, woman, and child has a daily encounter with Jesus in word and deed.

2) Acts29 Network

Acts 29 is a family of church-planting churches that are about one thing: church planting. They exist to encourage, resource, facilitate, support and equip churches to plant churches that will plant church-planting churches! Acts 29 stands in the tradition of historic evangelical confessionalism.

3) Ecclesia Network

Ecclesia provides training and immersion experiences for new church planters, equipping opportunities for wider church planting launch teams, assessments for prospective planters, and ongoing coaching for new church starts. Ecclesia believes that networks provide the forum for churches to coach and support one another.

4) V3 Network

The V3 Network helps church planters find partners in the gospel, experience renewal, discover the latest resources in church planting with a movement mentality, learn from experienced planters and those gifted differently, and contribute to a larger movement. V3 is about training, tribe, and tools and is for planters and interns. It is personal, practical, and affordable training in planting churches that embodies a missional theology and movement ecclesiology. The tribe is multiplying by regions and city co-ops, and more and more tools and resources are being developed online.

5) Association of Relational Churches

ARC works with church planters and church leaders to provide support, guidance, and resources to launch and grow life-giving churches. ARC has become not only a movement but a collection of many “tribes” – all with a focus to see a life-giving church in every community in the world. Today, some of ARC’s church plants have become the largest and fastest-growing churches in the USA.

6) Stadia

Stadia began in the fall of 2003 when leaders of the Northern California Evangelistic Association (NCEA) met with leaders of the Church Development Fund (CDF) to create a nationwide church planting organization called Stadia. Since then, Stadia and its partners have planted churches around the world and mobilized the sponsorship of over 30,000 children in impoverished communities.

7) Sojourn Network

Since 2011, Sojourn Network has provided care and support for pastors to lead their churches with strength and joy – and to finish ministry well. Offering the pastors in our network a strong vision of planting, growing, and multiplying healthy churches and providing them with thorough leadership assessment, funding for new churches and staff, coaching, training, renewal, and resources, the network stewards their gifts for the benefit and renewal of their local congregations.

8) Summit Network

Summit Network’s vision is to reach college towns and major cities to reach and raise up future generations of leaders. They focus on major cities because of their strategic influence and growing population of unreached people. Striving to plant alongside faithful churches that already exist in these cities, they follow the leadership of the Spirit in planting.

9) Church Multiplication Network

Church Multiplication Network is the official church planting arm of the U.S. Assemblies of God, dedicated to planting healthy, Spirit-empowered churches in every community in the United States. To do this, we work to strategically equip, fund, and network new faith communities.

10) Sovereign Grace

Sovereign Grace is a family of churches that advance the gospel of Jesus Christ by planting and strengthening churches throughout the world for the glory of God. Church planting with Sovereign Grace means partnership from start to finish. This process involves a national and regional assessment, coaching, and training.

The Pillar Network

Pillar is a network of about 100 churches mostly in the US, affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention. In 2019, Pillar began expansion to include like-minded, international churches into their fellowship. Pillar is a grassroots network, helping to equip, plant, and revitalize so that the average local church can have skin in the game when it comes to global church planting efforts.

Number of Churches: 100+
Church Planting Resources: Pillar partners with Baptist21 for content, which includes blog posts, events, and the Baptist21 Podcast. Pillar also helps new plants with web design, branding, financial services and more to help younger churches get up and running.
Regional Church Networks: Pillar has 17 regions around the US and is currently developing regions in Great Britain, Ireland, and Scotland.

    I am Pastor Sajida Arif and living in Portugal with my family legally.
    I have 3 Children. We trust in GOD.FATHER, SON AND HOLYSPIRIT. Basically we are from Pakistan.
    I have been working as a Pastor in Pakistan for 10 years.
    I have been helping children for Sunday school and bible study along with School education.
    Now we are group of 20 persons in Portugal and we continue prayer together.
    There are some community from Nepal, India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
    We all speak Hindi or Punjabi Language. We want to start church where we can prayer together in our Punjabi and Hindi language.
    Our community members mostly they are converted from Hinduism and others religions.
    They have very strong faith. Our Church community common Language is Hindi and Punjabi.
    Now I would like to request your Church to help us so that we want to start our Church in Portugal Lisbon as a Punjabi and Hindi language worship Service.
    We have churches here but in Portuguese languages and very rare in English..
    Our some community members know how to play Guitar, Piano, drum set and Organ.
    They want to use their talent and ability for the Grace of God.
    Keep us in your prayers because we want to start our Church as soon as possible.
    Our future Mission is to invite more and more Non believer’s souls and who are in the search of their lost soul .they want to be stronger in their belief in Jesus Christ.
    Our community is very eager to learn more Christianity and they want to be stronger in Spirituality and faith. We are struggling to rent one big Garage for the Church purpose.
