If you’ve ever led a small group in your home, helped with youth core groups, or participated in any Bible study during your life as a Christian–you’ll be excited about what Right Now Media is doing to fundamentally change the way small groups obtain video and study materials.

Launched in February 2012, Right Now Media is similar to how you turn on Netflix over your Wii or internet-ready TV, you can stream thousands of Bible studies right into your home, computer, church–virtually any location where your small groups meets–through Right Now Media’s all-you-can-eat monthly media plans from $49.99 a month for churches under 100 members on up to $299.99 per month for churches over 3,000 with multisite campuses.

Founded by the folks who brought you BluefishTV, Right Now Media is revolutionizing the way churches administer Bible studies and the way people consume Bible study content.

Now, churches can subscribe and empower their leaders with administrative control so that they can select the best Bible study for their group.

Video Bible studies on virtually any and every topic are available from parenting, to youth, to women’s, to men’s, to marriage. Studies from nearly every major publisher are available including Zondervan, Thomas Nelson, David C. Cook, Willow Creek, LifeWay – no one else has this many studies to instantly stream anywhere you like.

Leaders can also order study guides and leader’s guides direct from the Right Now Media website without navigating to another site; in some cases, materials are available to download and print right from your computer.

We started with a dream and felt that there’s got to be a better way to equip the church. As a leader, its so hard to get everything done and train and equip our small group leaders. We came up with a great solution,” comments Daniel Cooper, managing director of church partnerships.

To take it a step further, in July 2011, Right Now launched another ministry, called Right Now Training, to help better develop pastors and volunteer leaders for ministry. The customizable technology tools that they have developed are very valuable to say the least. Anyone can upload their own videos, or use short teaching videos from well known pastors such as Andy Stanley and Max Lucado, then wrap their own email text and messaging to send off to their church staff, small group leaders, or any others in leadership roles.

Pricing for Right Now Training includes access to Right Now Media and can be a great way to develop your church leaders, small group leaders, and participants.

“Everyone is online – why wouldn’t we supplement our leadership training for busy leaders?” remarks Cooper.

So far, over 2,500 churches have signed up and are using the online video Bible studies–from small churches to mega churches across the country. Over 1,200 churches with fewer than 100 members are using Right Now Training.

“It’s working for big churches as well as small churches,” Cooper says.

For Thursday night Bible study, things will never be the same. No more purchasing or borrowing video tapes in advance, no worries about what study to do next when this one ends. Every study you could imagine–from Beth Moore to Francis Chan to Max Lucado–is right on your TV waiting for you. Brilliant.
